01 — ABSTRACT
PLAGUE is a Play-to-Earn decentralized finance protocol on Solana. Spreading $PLAGUE builds your on-chain PATHOGEN score, surviving Outbreaks earns you $IMMUNE, and $IMMUNE pays you real SOL from trading revenue — every epoch, indefinitely. No inflationary token emissions. No governance theater. Real SOL from real trading volume.
The protocol operates through three primitives: $PLAGUE (the infection vector — Token-2022 with transfer hook), $IMMUNE (non-tradeable survival reward paying 65% of all swap tax as SOL), and the PATHOGEN Score Engine (on-chain infection graph). All events are triggered by Switchboard VRF — unpredictable, tamper-proof, zero administrator control.
02 — THE PROBLEM PLAGUE SOLVES
Inflationary yield: Most DeFi protocols pay participants with newly-minted tokens, creating permanent sell pressure. PLAGUE pays only in real SOL from trading revenue — no new tokens ever minted after TGE.
Wallet bundling: Fresh wallet bundlers game fair launches. PLAGUE's defense is economic: OG wallets earn up to 3× more $PLAGUE per SOL via Wallet DNA scoring, making bundling irrational — 3 fresh wallets × 1 SOL = 2.1M $PLAGUE vs 1 OG wallet × 3 SOL × 3× = 6.3M $PLAGUE.
No reason to hold: Three distinct player archetypes (Spreader, Survivor, Timer) with genuine ongoing strategic decisions sustain engagement beyond TGE. $IMMUNE holders have permanent financial incentive as supply deflates through Cure burns.
03 — TOKEN ARCHITECTURE
$PLAGUE — The Infection Vector
Token-2022 SPL with transfer hook extension. Every $PLAGUE transfer atomically invokes the PLAGUE Transfer Hook Program, recording the event in the Infection Registry and updating both parties' PATHOGEN Scores. Fixed supply: 1,000,000,000. Mint authority burned at TGE. 2–6% Raydium swap tax.
$IMMUNE — Proof of Survival
Cannot be purchased. Cannot be transferred. Minted only by the Outbreak Execution Program when a wallet survives an Outbreak in the bottom 85% of PATHOGEN scores. Pays 65% of all $PLAGUE swap tax as real SOL every epoch. Deflationary: Cure events burn 15% of supply permanently. Current genesis supply: 892.
PATHOGEN SCORE — Internal Engine
Not a token — invisible in your wallet. Composite on-chain metric: Holdings (40%), Transmission volume and reach (45%), Temporal decay (15%). Formula: P(W) = 10,000 × [0.40·H(W) + 0.45·T(W) + 0.15·D(W)]. Determines both epoch yield weight and Outbreak burn priority. Resets on Cure events.
04 — THE TAX MODEL (2–6%)
Every $PLAGUE swap on Raydium incurs a variable tax of 2–6% scaling with the System Infection Level. Formula: Tax = 2% + (Infection_Level × 4%). Low-volume days cost 2%, high-activity days reach 6% — never more. Distribution is hardcoded on-chain.

Entire Cure Fund distributes to $IMMUNE holders as one lump-sum SOL payout. 15% of $IMMUNE supply permanently burned. All PATHOGEN scores reset globally. New cycle begins.
07 — WALLET DNA & ANTI-BUNDLING
At connect time, the protocol reads your wallet's full Solana on-chain history and assigns a Contamination Score (0–1000) that multiplies your entire $PLAGUE allocation at TGE. Five tiers: Sterile 1.0×, Exposed 1.3×, Infected 1.6×, Contagious 2.0×, Patient Zero 3.0×. Score inputs: wallet age (20%), transaction volume (25%), protocol diversity (25%), token breadth (20%), NFT/social activity (10%).
Why bundling fails: 3 fresh wallets × 1 SOL = 2,100,000 $PLAGUE total. 1 OG Patient Zero wallet × 3 SOL × 3.0× = 6,300,000 $PLAGUE total. The bundler gets exactly 33% of what an OG wallet earns for identical capital. The math eliminates the incentive entirely.
08 — THE $IMMUNE SUPPLY EXPLAINED (WHY 892?)
The 892 $IMMUNE currently in circulation were distributed across 8 controlled Genesis Outbreak events run during the protocol's closed testing phase — approximately 111 $IMMUNE per event. These genesis holders earn SOL yield from the first day of public trading.
Every public Outbreak after TGE mints additional $IMMUNE to new survivors. As Cure events burn 15% of supply, each remaining token claims a progressively larger fraction of all future yield — making early $IMMUNE the most valuable in the protocol's history. $IMMUNE cannot be purchased on any market, ever. Any platform claiming to sell $IMMUNE is fraudulent.
09 — RISK FACTORS
OUTBREAK BURN RISK
Wallets in the top 15% PATHOGEN score can lose 15–45% of their $PLAGUE per Outbreak event. Outbreak timing is fully unpredictable. No exit strategy guarantees safety between VRF trigger and burn execution.
TAX DRAG RISK
Every $PLAGUE swap incurs 2–6% tax. A round-trip buy/sell at the same price costs 4–12% of capital. Profitable participation requires holding long enough for yield to exceed this cost.
$IMMUNE YIELD RISK
$IMMUNE yield is proportional to trading volume. If volume declines substantially, yield approaches zero. $IMMUNE cannot be sold. A holder in a low-volume environment has no exit mechanism.
LIQUIDITY RISK
Raydium pool seeded with ~$40K equivalent at TGE. Large sells may cause significant price impact. Participants may be unable to exit at market price during low-liquidity periods.
VRF/ORACLE RISK
All event triggering depends on Switchboard VRF. A failure or discontinuation of Switchboard would halt protocol events until resolved. Solana network outages impact protocol operability.
REGULATORY RISK
DeFi regulatory status is evolving globally. Actions in any jurisdiction could restrict participation or impair liquidity. Participants are responsible for compliance in their own jurisdiction.
